Mr. Narayan Krishna Kharel holds a Master's Degree in Business Administration (Global Business Management), a Master's Degree in Theravada Buddhism, and a Master's Degree in Sociology from Tribhuvan University. An Export Entrepreneur by profession, he is Founder and CEO of Asterisk International Services Pvt. Ltd.. Asterisk employs women who produce wool felt products and empower themselves. He is also an Angel Investor supporting startups in their operations. Apart from business, he is also actively engaged in academics and has worked as a lecturer of Spanish language at Bishwo Bhasa College, and a lecturer of International Business at different colleges in Nepal. He is a polyglot who speaks Nepali, English, Japanese, Spanish and has understanding of Pali and Sanskrit. 

A Rotarian since 2009, he joined as the youngest member of the Rotary Club of Kathmandu, a pioneer club in Nepal. He became president of his club in 2019-20, Asistant Governor of his district in 2021-22. His Rotary involvement started in 2004 as a member of the Rotaract Club of Pashupati-Kathmandu. 

Mr. Narayan Krishna Kharel, a Board member of Global Compact Nepal is also the General Secretary of GoodWeave Certification Nepal and an Advisor at Spinal Cord Injury Network Nepal.
